Therapeutic Techniques
Our tools go beyond traditional talk therapy, allowing for deeper healing and expression even when you may not have the words.
ART is an evidence-based therapy that combines guided eye movements and visualizations to help you quickly process trauma, reduce distress, and shift negative thought patterns.
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that uses guided eye movements to help you reprocess painful memories, reduce emotional distress, and foster resilience.
TIST is a therapy designed to help you manage overwhelming emotions and behaviors stemming from trauma. By enhancing self-regulation, reducing dissociation, and building a sense of safety and control, TIST is especially effective for individuals with complex trauma or attachment-related challenges.
IFS helps you explore the different 'parts' within yourself, heal inner conflicts, and foster harmony in your inner world. This compassionate approach encourages self-understanding and personal growth.
Body-centered /Somatic psychotherapy focuses on the connection between the mind and body, using awareness of physical sensations, movement, and breath to process emotions, release trauma, and promote healing. It helps clients access deeper experiences that may not be reached through talk therapy alone.
Mindfulness-based therapy incorporates practices like meditation, breath work, and body awareness to reduce stress, enhance emotional regulation, and improve overall well-being.

Our 3 Core Principles
Trauma-informed care
Trauma impacts every part of life. We prioritize safety, emotional regulation, and respect while addressing complex, intergenerational, and identity-based trauma.
Culturally-responsive care
Your background, values, and lived experiences are central to your healing journey. We are committed to supporting immigrant and marginalized communities.
Creativity as healing
When words aren’t enough, we use creative expression—sound healing, mindfulness, movement, and the arts—to foster safety, joy, and connection.

From Survival Mode to Thriving: A 3-Stage Process
How do we get you from being in a state of chronic overwhelm and survival mode to feeling more like yourself and living a more fulfilling life? This happens in three stages.
Stage 1: Creating a Supportive Environment
In the first stage, it's our job to create an environment for you in which growth is possible—an environment that is culturally responsive, anti-racist, and authentic.
Stage 2: Understanding Your Symptoms
This opens the door to the next stage, where we begin to get curious about you and understand how your symptoms once served you.
For example, in an environment of abuse or neglect, depression can serve us by making sure that we stay numb to the overwhelming pain. As we understand the purpose of symptoms—the function of our symptoms—we can then reach into our toolbox and start experimenting with other ways to meet those needs.
Some of the tools we'll use in this stage involve talking, using the language of psychotherapy. Others don’t involve talking at all.
Stage 3: Exploring New Ways to Heal
Finally, in stage three, as you feel more connected to yourself—to your parts, to your values—the inherent aliveness that you have, the creativity, the courage, and the compassion that are built into who you are, emerge naturally.

A 3-Stage Process Toward Healing
Healing is not about fixing what is broken—it’s about creating the conditions for growth, safety, and self-discovery. In this video, we explore a three-stage process that helps you move from chronic overwhelm to a more fulfilling life.
