Founder & Clinical Psychologist
she/her/hers
Welcome—I'm Dr. Taline Andonian, and I'm glad you're here.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with nearly two decades of experience specializing in trauma recovery, complex PTSD, dissociative disorders, and mind-body healing. As the Founder of Resonance Center for Psychotherapy & Healing Arts, I combine evidence-based, trauma-informed methods with creative, culturally sensitive healing practices to support clients on their path toward emotional freedom and authenticity.
I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford and have advanced training in EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic psychotherapy, mindfulness interventions, and sound healing. I have trained with world-renowned Traumatologist Dr. Janina Fisher in Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST) and other evidence-based trauma interventions. I have also trained extensively with the founders of the Hartford Family Institute in Body-Centered Psychotherapy, deepening my ability to integrate somatic awareness, experiential healing, and nervous system regulation into my work.
My clinical experience spans diverse settings, including psychiatric hospitals, prisons and jails, court systems, community mental health, and academia. I am also an adjunct professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Central Connecticut State University.
The intersection of science and creativity is foundational to my therapeutic philosophy. I use language, sound, music, art, and creative expression to help clients reconnect with emotions, process trauma, and uncover their authentic selves. My lived experience as a first-generation Armenian-American and descendant of Armenian Genocide survivors allows me to bring cultural wisdom, humor, compassion, and resilience into my therapeutic work.

Dr. Taline Andonian, PsyD., 2012
This dissertation outlines a mindfulness-based group therapy program designed for incarcerated women. It explores the deep impacts of trauma, substance abuse, and mental illness, offering mindfulness as a path toward emotional healing, self-awareness, and rehabilitation.
Research & Writing
My clinical work is grounded in evidence-based research focused on healing. The following work establishes the foundation for the therapeutic approach we use at Resonance Center.
